Hi my friend,
I wanted to describe my thoughts and intent behind creating the Ever More newsletter. I want it to be a true source of value for you as you walk with Christ. Being a blessing to your faith is THE main motivation for me!
Ever more holds the meaning of continuous growth, or something increasing over time. This is what our trusting faith in Him looks like as we learn to be ever more dependent on Him. We are washed clean and are given His righteousness at the very moment of our acceptance of Him as our personal Lord and Savior…and yet, we also have the honor of growing and increasing in Him in every good thing as we walk through this life.
1. Firstly, I believe we live in the end days…and as such, the world is growing more chaotic. And the increasing darkness is giving believers an opportunity to shine even more brilliantly into the darkness. We want to be a comforting, warm, vibrant glow in this world through His Spirit at work in us. Christ formed in us is our glory and joy. Which makes me think of the Philips, Craig & Dean song that goes, “and when I need Your Holy Spirit more than life itself, then Christ is formed in me” (Awake My Soul – Christ is Formed in Me).
2. Secondly, as Biblically faithful believers (those who stand on God’s Word as absolute truth), we’re in need of sharpening ourselves with one another. We are not of this world just as He was not of this world (John 17:16). As those who apply our lives to His Word, it’s only other believers who can understand that passion. We uniquely strengthen and encourage each other. Therefore, I think it’s invaluable to foster Biblical community. So, not only do I want Ever More to fortify your faith through the newsletter and podcast content, but I also want it to give you another way of connecting with your family in Christ. I will work on ways to make an interactive, engaged community out of Ever More for all of us to benefit from.
3. Lastly, I want to use Ever More for resource curation. In other words, I want to keep pointing you to resources that will build you up. These might be Bible teachers, videos, books, websites, etc. In addition to the regular newsletters I write, I will be posting weekly resource round ups so that you’ll have useful resources concentrated within one newsletter. These may be fresh and current from that particular week, or they might be resources that I’ve come across overtime. Either way, I want this to be a way that I can offer value beyond Ever More itself.
For those who want to read it, the evermorenewsletter.com site has a statement of faith posted. I want you to know what kind of perspective (worldview) this newsletter is written from.
So, thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being here! My motivation is that Ever More will be a fruitful resource for you. Please feel free to reach out with your feedback or questions whenever you’d like. My email is info@evermorenewsletter.com. I genuinely appreciate and welcome your thoughts since they help me understand which direction to take the newsletter. I want you to drive the focus and value of Ever More! :)
“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.” – 2 Corinthians 13:14
See you in the newsletter!
Be well,
— Kylie
